LHASA, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and five others were injured in two traffic accidents that occurred in Tibet, southwest China, local traffic officers confirmed on Friday.
A truck carrying 15 people turned over at about 9:00 a.m. Thursday near Xiangdui Village, Chaya County of Qamdo Prefecture in eastern Tibet. Two people were killed on the spot and three others were seriously injured.
Another accident occurred at zero hour Wednesday, when a Santana car, with five people aboard, rammed into a truck parking on the roadside, 30 kilometers to the north of Qagqu Town in northern Tibet. Two people were killed on the spot, one died on the way to hospital and two others were seriously injured.
The police is still dealing with the aftermath of the two accidents. Enditem
