TOKYO, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Three United States servicemen stationed in
Okinawa, western Japan, were arrested early on Sunday on suspicion of
trespassing on private property by parking their car there.
According to Japan's national police agency, the three arrested are all
air
men stationed at the U.S. Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa.
They allegedly parked a passenger car in a 58-year-old man's private
parking space in the city of Okinawa around 3:15 a.m. (1815 GMT Saturday)
without his permission.
The man called the police when he saw the car upon returning home, police
officers said.
They quoted the servicemen, who had been drinking, as saying they thought
they could save on parking fees and that they have parked there before.
